The Essential Bras Every Woman Needs
We’ve all been in that position where you find the perfect attire for the perfect occasion, but struggle with finding the right bra to pair with it. This may come as a surprise to some, but many women struggle with choosing the right type of bra from the multiple types available today for that very reason. In truth, there are so many types of brasieres with different purposes that are intended for each that choosing one can be a difficult endeavor. Whether the purpose be for athletic, professional, casual, or formal events, there are specific types of bras that flatter those outfits and occasions, such as:
1. Sports bras
Perhaps the most self explanatory type of bra out there, a sports bra is used for athletic wear. This type of bra is specifically designed for coverage and to be very sturdy, as it supports women in their athletic endeavors, and is meant to be purposed during athletic activities. Sports bras, as such, are most appropriate when paired with a tank top and leggings, or similar gym attire, that one may sport during a run, while going to the gym, or engaging in a sporty activity.
2. Push up bras
A push up bra is intended and shaped to show off or exaggerated curves, which means they prominently push up the bust area with wires and padding. This type of bra specifically supports attire for formal events and are paired well with v-neck tops and dresses, or relatively fancy attire that shows a little skin. Push up bras are not intended for athletic or sporty purposes.
3. Bralettes
A bralette is most appropriately used for casual attire, and in many cases are already built with cups, for just a little bit of additional support. A bralette does not have the wiring or support structure to hold up (or boost) the bust area like a push up bra. Rather, it is intended to provide minimal support or preserve a general bust shape. Bralettes can be worn with almost any attire, however, this type of bra does not support athletic uses, either, since it is incapable of holding in the bust, and can cause pain if used with intensive activities.
4. Strapless bras
Strapless bras offer flexibility in usage with clothing with spaghetti straps or no straps (i.e, tube tops). They can be worn with casual attire (i.e., tanks and sundresses), formal attire (i.e., one strap blouses and dresses), or dresses and tops with no sleeves to avoid a slipping bra strap.
